Link Building

Build the authority that
commands top rankings.

Backlinks remain the strongest ranking signal in Google's algorithm. But one high-quality editorial link from a relevant DR 60 publication outperforms 200 directory submissions. We build links that move Domain Rating and rankings — nothing else.

Why links still matter

Links are how Google measures authority. Quality is everything.

Despite two decades of algorithm updates, backlinks remain the most powerful ranking signal in Google's algorithm. The reason is simple: a link from a reputable, relevant website is an editorial endorsement — someone trusted has decided your content is worth pointing their audience toward. Google uses these endorsements to determine which pages deserve to rank for competitive queries.

The critical distinction is quality vs. quantity. A single editorial link from Forbes, a relevant industry publication or a high-DR authority site in your niche can move rankings that 500 directory links cannot. Our link building programme focuses exclusively on acquiring links that improve your Domain Rating, build genuine referral relationships and send the right authority signals to your target ranking pages.

Our link building methods

Three methods. Zero shortcuts.

Editorial Outreach

We identify articles and resources on high-authority sites in your niche that mention related topics — then pitch your brand as a relevant addition or resource. These are genuine editorial placements with no "sponsored" or "paid" labels, from real publications with real audiences. Average DR of acquired links: 52.

Digital PR

We create data-driven stories, research studies, original statistics and expert commentary pieces that journalists and editors want to reference. When a piece lands in a major publication — Forbes, Entrepreneur, TechCrunch, industry trade publications — it earns multiple high-authority links from a single content asset.

Guest Posting

Strategic guest posting on genuinely relevant, high-DR publications in your industry. We write the article, pitch the editor, manage the placement process and ensure every link is contextually embedded within editorial content — not author bio links or footer placements.

Broken Link Building

We identify broken links on high-authority pages in your niche that point to outdated or removed resources — then pitch your content as a replacement. This provides genuine value to webmasters while earning high-quality editorial links at scale.

HARO & Expert Positioning

Help A Reporter Out (HARO) and similar journalist query platforms connect you with media professionals seeking expert commentary. We manage your HARO responses and expert positioning to earn brand mentions and links in major news publications.

Toxic Link Disavowal

Low-quality or spammy backlinks from previous SEO campaigns actively damage your rankings. We audit your full backlink profile, identify toxic links, reach out for manual removal where possible, and submit a Google disavow file to neutralise any remaining harmful links.

What we will never do

The tactics that will get your site penalised.

Private Blog Networks (PBNs)

Fake sites created purely to pass links. Google identifies and penalises these regularly. We have never used a PBN and never will.

Paid link schemes

Buying links from link farms or low-quality sites violates Google's guidelines and risks a manual penalty. Every link we acquire is editorially placed.

Irrelevant directory submissions

Bulk submissions to generic directories provide zero ranking value and dilute your link profile. We only target topically relevant, high-DA sources.

Comment and forum spam

Profile links, forum signature links and blog comment links are flagged and ignored by Google. We focus only on links that move Domain Rating.

Our process

How we build your links

01
Link gap analysis

We compare your backlink profile to your top 3 competitors — identifying which domains link to them but not you, what average DRs they are achieving, and which link types are driving their rankings.

02
Target page mapping

We identify which pages on your site need link equity most — your highest-value commercial pages — and build a link acquisition plan that channels authority directly to those URLs.

03
Prospect identification & qualification

We build a pipeline of potential link opportunities from relevant, high-DR publications. Every prospect is manually qualified — we check real traffic, editorial standards and topical relevance before outreach.

04
Outreach, placement & reporting

We manage all outreach, negotiate placements, approve content before publication, and provide a monthly link report showing every link acquired — with DR, URL, anchor text and target page.

Common questions

Link building FAQs

Link building is the process of acquiring hyperlinks from other websites to your own. Search engines use backlinks as votes of authority — the more high-quality, relevant links pointing to your site, the more Google trusts it and the higher it ranks. Quality matters far more than quantity.
Our Starter plan includes 10 high-quality backlinks per month, Growth includes 20, and Enterprise includes 30+. We prioritise link quality and relevance over volume — one DR 60 editorial link from a relevant publication outperforms 50 directory links.
A high-quality backlink is: from a website with a Domain Rating of 40+, topically relevant to your industry, editorially placed within article content (not footer or sidebar), has real organic traffic (not just a high DR), uses natural anchor text, and comes from a site that links out selectively rather than to anyone who pays.
Links typically take 4–12 weeks to be discovered by Google and for their authority to begin flowing to target pages. DR improvements are usually visible within 2–3 months of sustained link acquisition. Ranking improvements from link building are typically measurable at the 3–6 month mark.
Yes. Toxic link disavowal is included in our service. We audit your full backlink profile, identify harmful links, reach out to webmasters for manual removal where possible, and submit a Google disavow file for links that cannot be removed. This is often one of the first things we do for new clients.
